Ha-ha.

My mom called me yesterday and said,

" Eh, you know what, Auntie Joyce met up with your dad again yesterday.. So funny. She told your dad, 'You know, I don't simply accept students to come do internship with me. I really like your daughter lah. I always call my son to go after your daughter' And your Pa replied, 'WHAT? My daughter got boyfriend already.'    "

When I heard that, I was like omfgwtf ! I thought her son would have bitch about me all the time 247 365, probably growl at the sight of me, snarl at the sound of my name because I threw my temper at him and scolded him during Pavilion's 2nd Year Anniversary ON STAGE!

Okay la, just kidding. we're still in talking terms (but the scolding part was real). But still scary. Plus he's younger than me, younger than Eddie , I am older than Eddie...you do the maths -_-. He got girlfriend. And I know his mom is just saying, to make my dad happy and proud of me. And it worked. I can imagine him laughing, cause he's been BBM-ing me a lot nowadays.

YY, I know you might be reading this, but no offense!  Just finding something to blog about. Outta topic.

crap. which day am I at? missed sooo many days.

Okay, I stopped at day 21, which makes this post day 22-26 of my intern?

Conclusion this whole week I didn't update on...anything/everything! Let me cramp everything into one post. lol.

One week flew by just like that!

Loads of magazine reading, circular passing, um, talking to random people who work in stores.

Nothing much basically.

Thursday night went to Rootz at Lot 10. Quite a good night!

winnie, cousin and I.
wow didn't know my hair look so long and fluffy already.
Ronald and I.
The people.
Edwin and I.
3rd pilot, Robin and I.

group photo :)

Reach home at 5am, clean my make up and slept for 3 hours. Then wake up for my last day of work. Bittersweet :(

Friday was the day whereby I finally got close to quite a few of my colleagues! Which makes parting even more sad. I like them, very much ! They even spent me lunch...

Even had free ice cream from a new ice cream shop in Pavilion. Some shops told me that they will continue giving me special discounts despite leaving/its my last day...and even someone asked me if I want to work in their company's PR department as they 'need people like me' ?? PR for luxurious brands? hmmm... not really me actually. Imagine me speaking/promoting Godiva (when I've been bitching about luxuries being too wayyyy overpriced).

They ask for my contacts and all, but when I was about to leave, I told them I am only an intern. hahaha. Thanks anyway.

At night got event ,too. I wanted to help very much, but I have been handing out circulars , used up all my final bits of physical strength...I had to go back and sleep. I was really sick , too. Almost lost my voice.

I was coughing, sneezing, and yet had to hand out circulars and explain to them what they are, and also asking for brochures and name cards to update Pavilion's database. I really wonder how many people I've infected.

Haih, would love to help out.

So when the event kickstart, I took MY VERY LAST MONORAIL RIDE to Timesquare and went back home.

Going to miss working with them =(

Day 21: PAVILION 2ND YEAR ANNIVERSARY.

Crap I am one day late for every post.

Pavilion's 2nd Year Anniversary was very exhausting...PHYSICALLY, considering I was the main person to replenish the 2000/2K/2THOUSAND GOODIE BAGS on stage! For eg. the goodie bag on stage is running low, I run to the store room (on HEELED SHOES) and back to the stage , UNCOUNTABLE TIMES. Talking about people who CHOOSES their responsibility which resulted to my bad incomings. ZZZZZ.
Pre-briefing.
Sometimes I find it pointless especially when people don't follow what they are set to do.

LOOK AT THE CROWD!!!!

I had to STAND on guest registration and record all the invited guest that attended, too.

Jade and I~~

The boy behind the Tiramisu.

Got story to tell about this young boy.
He was one of my colleague's younger brother. He went to participate in Pavilion's 2nd year anniversary. Never occured in his mind that he will win something, so he was hunting for goodie bags that contains free socks (cause he needs them)for US to pass it to him when it was his turn. People who don't get anything from the lucky draw gets a goodie bag.

BUT he WON THE BLACKBERRY @#!%#%^$^!#!!!! ONE OF THE TWO MOST ANTICIPATED PRIZE. BOTH ALSO BLACKBERRY!!! And he won one of it. Talking about getting something when you least expects it =/. But he's selling it. 15 year old only, Blackberry not useful for him.

Group photo. Spot the ROCK. Wait, in this case, TWO ROCKS!!

in Aldo.

Outside Pavilion. Super beautiful !!! Love Pavilion's decoration.

Inside decoration, I look like I am in some forest. hahahaha.

Then Monday public holiday, today work, but body ache like shit.

Day 20 : bad day during and after office hours

Glimpses of an interesting conversation I had on Friday (posting this post super late) :

She spoke to me in cantonese.

I replied in English. then she asked me " u don't know how to speak cantonese? mandarin?" (she was putting up a pissy/annoyed looking face the whole time)

ME : nope, not really. My mandarin is alright, but my cantonese sucks. Too embarrassed to speak in chinese. I am Hokkien."

HER: But u r from KL right? KL people definitely know how to speak cantonese.

ME : nope, my whole family don't know chinese. Even the people I mix with and the places I hang out with like Midvalley and Bangsar Shopping Complex (said it merely cause it was near my high school!! and that time it was my common hangout area during the cempaka days)..no one speaks chinese there. No way to learn and practice.

HER: so, u only go to high class place la ?

ME: no.

HER: so why don't u want to become PR in aus?

ME: i hate aus, i miss home. I prefer to be in my comfort zone.

HER: why u hate aus? is it because u have no friends there ?

ME: no.

What do you think? There's more, but the point is, I got shot :(

Did nothing much on Friday. Just whole day running around, doing the media kits, and vouchers tearing and packing. Everyone in the office is almost doing the same thing. Either doing the vouchers packing and tearing, or packing up the goodie bag!

Then when left work for monorail, to Eddie cause he's waiting for me somewhere , I fought in the monorail again. Sian. Everyday the monorail station is a war zone. Can't stand uneducated people who keep pushing, cutting queues and not letting the people from inside come out. Damn stupid. Nobody come out of a jammed pack monorail, nobody can enter, too.

Shouted 'BITCH' at someone on top of my lungs and scared 2 passengers from entering the monorail.

Imagine she was this fat woman, lining up at the bottom of my line, and tried cutting in through the sides. Then like I knew she was going to cut me, I took my pack of donuts to indirectly say "NO WAY, JOSE (FAT BITCH)! " . AND SHE JUST CRUSH THROUGH MY 3 BOXES OF DONUTS !! I bought 3 box, 1 for Eddie, 1 for my brother's girlfriend, and one for my family.

So the damage of the bull in my china shop was my box was all crushed, donut cream smeared to the cover and my plastic bag handle, one side tore. FUCK THAT BITCH, nono, SHIT THAT BITCH is more 'achievable'.

She entered the monorail, and smirked at me. WTF! When she entered the monorail, the monorail like going to burst open already. Lucky I am half her size, I squeeze in after her and glare at her the whole time, making it awkward for her.

I have low blood pressure, and anyone with low blood pressure can improve it by using the monorail FOR A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME. Not too much, or you'll have high blood and that would've been really bad. Stroke and all.

Then at night family dinner, arrived / jammed all the way there sweaty and tired. Eddie sudden break once, and some of my mini donuts flew onto his car floor T.T FML!!!

But dinner was good. My dad was pretty generous. Spent RM800+ on a dinner for 6 people. wow!

Day 19: No Escape.

I thought I can escape work on Saturday but I was wrong !!!!!!!!!!!!! Heard of this sad news today morning. I am working both SATURDAY and SUNDAY , this weekend!! at Pavilion.

Pavilion's 2nd year Anniversary is this Sunday , 31 JANUARY 2010!!! Read our advertorial at The Star Metro (a section of The Star newspaper) , page M12!!!!!!!!!

Loads of goodies to be grabbed. I packed them today. Got to thank my lovely hands for them if you do attend and get them okay!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I also want , but I am a 'staff' of Pavilion, so nothing for me! Cannot even participate in the event for the really good deals T.T Should've quitted my intern end of January, rather than working until February 5th hahaha.

Even the red wallet if you get for free if you spend more than RM1000 in a single receipt, or RM500 on your EON credit card....is damn freaking nice. Staff also cannot have them , unless we spend that much!! And it's going out quite fast. Already 25% given out since January 20? The wallet is specially made for Pavilion by one of the tenants. Feels quite good in quality also and very elegant looking.

ANYWAY, I already said my photo is ugly. Spent so much time writing a really long paragraph explaining it, before showing the photoshopped photo of me, but people still got amazed by the ugliness of the photoshopped photo. My face is not camera friendly. Must have spoilt a really expensive camera in my past life , thats why I am getting the karma right now by looking ugly in photos.

Im not those kinda people that'll insult my own photos in exchange for praises !

Day 18: exhaustionnnn.

Its not just from the work, but the fact that I am always eating and then sitting...no time to exercise, and I felt really fat and sluggish.

So, I MADE TIME for exercise.

Been resting till 12am after dinner at 8pm from work, and then exercise till 1am. Did it for 2 days, waking up at 7+am for work...GOd, I am all tired out, sleeping average of 5hrs a day... work out + work.

I really tried walking more in office, but I was obese last time. I need vigorous exercise to burn the stubborn fats, not light exercises i.e. walking. But no time at all!!!!!!!! Carried weights/heavy stuffs, jog-on-the-spot, hop and jump around when no one's looking....it never helped. AT ALL.

Its either I sacrifice sleep, or sacrifice my work out and lose the confidence. But sleep is essential. I am losing my sanity. Looking all tired and stressed up when my internship is not even hard to do. Just lacking some resting time.

Really freaking jealous for people who has high metabolism.

Dieting never works for me. Everytime I eat less, the next time I eat more than normal, my weight will go up 2 folds. But usually, I don't really eat that much either. 4 super soft raisin buns (from Bread Top) for breakfast (must eat like a king what!) , eat half a portion of an outside meal...and just fish and veggies at home for dinner. (Loads of durians though, but I pooped it out on a daily basis at Pavilion, lol)

Durian cured my constipation!! WOohoo!

How do I keep fit/maintain/lose weight? sigh. I don't want to go back to square one. My clothes gets tighter BY THE WEEK.

The belt I was wearing in the top picture was like a hula hoop when I first bought it, and now it's tight.

All of a sudden, my boob level buttons starts looking like its about to pop out, and my mum will nag me.

Mom: Why didn't you sew extra buttons for your clothes (as in in-between the actual buttons of buttoned-clothes)! People can see the insides.

Me: It wasn't like this when I first bought it last week. The clothes got tighter just this week.

FML!!!

Day 17 : Dream pooper.

Found out some pretty interesting stuffs about the staffs at Pavilion today at lunch. Nothing bad about them. Just got to know about the background of some of them. But well, I wasn't too surprised anyway.

Work today, was alright. Had a tiny argument with THE ROCK. Freaking hate lazy people and people who actually chose what to do and runaway from things they dislike, giving damn a lot of lame excuses. I heard all before already. Please, make your parents proud. Not use their name to avoid responsibilities.

Found out I got to work this Sunday !!! Talking about Karma, I just laughed my ass off at a new friend I met about her working for KPMG on weekends. Now? My turn.

But apart from that, it was alright. Got my Swatch Watch battery replaced :) so convenient.

Then came back had a huge dinner, with loads of durians also. Now I am full and sleepy. But no, I need to exercise !!! Since Sunday till now, been sleeping so little, and it seems like lacking the sleep has taken its toll on my body. I feel easily angered, less patient and not happy at all.

Ended a MSN chat badly. Just because that guy thinks I am fat, and not attractive. In fact, it feels like I was telling some huge ass lie when I told him 19 year old guys hit-ted on me. He said he don't want to talk to me, in case I think he's into me.

But nope, never once did I tell people that a 23 year old guy is interested in me. Even ample of other guys whom I chatted quite closely, too, never said they are interested in me. Wait, are you all even qualified?

I'm fine, come to think of it. Feeling kinda stupid, having to explain myself previously. Seeing is believing (P.S. We've never met each other before). But since you're so convinced by my photos that I am dead ugly and fat, fine. Let it stay that way. I have no need to prove anything. Good day!

P.S. SEE, told you lacking sleep makes people all sensitive. Whats with me and my obsession towards looking good all of a sudden? What matters is that 'thing' between my ears.

Day 16: Argh !!!

Initially, I didn't want to update. But I guess if someone from Pavilion manage to read this, happy or not, its your choice to listen to it and improve, or ____you fill in the blanks_____.

Today was quite frustrating. I'll keep things um , simple.

Last week, I had to hand out circulars to all floors. I was doing it, until I got summoned halfway, to contact all the people I was in charge of, to collect something from them.

After a stressful noon, explaining to them the reason why we need that 'something'....and we were all rushing of time...not forgetting..LOADS of misunderstanding over the emails. OKay, fine, partly my bad, for thinking they thought badly of Pavilion, but I gone through so much trouble...I also troubled them because APPARENTLY , they have never come across having to do something like this..

But I managed to talked them into doing it, with broken chinese, cantonese, and downgrading my English just so that they understand it. Because my upperhand said we need that 'something' A.S.A.P ...those nice people are so willing to trust that 'something' into me, even before the official letter was written.

Then came today, I received the parcels. They even given me gifts (in a form of calenders), wrote me thank yous...even came personally to meet me (it was like meeting a net friend, converse only on emails and phone calls, but we finally see each other) !

I was dealing with people similar rank to me-as in they need permission to give that 'something' to me, but willing to delay telling their superiors, and wait for my official letter, because I urgently 'need' it.

NOW today, when someone sent the 'official letter' for approval/signature, the head of department stuck a post-it note in disbelief. She was saying that WE DON'T NEED THAT 'SOMETHING' AT ALL AND THAT IT IS IRRELEVANT TO OUR EVENTS!

Apart from that, I heard her shouted in her room " ALL THE CIRCULARS HANDED OUT YET???"

Someone answered 'yes' but the fact is , we haven't finish handing it out, because time was wasted to get that 'something', in which my head of department thought we haven't start collecting at all!

So not only I got myself into trouble because of the circulars, I got other people from other organisations that I'm currently dealing with, into trouble. They have to explain to their superiors. I felt like I broke their trust also. I hate it. I would like to give people firm assurance...a proper FIXED plan. Not one minute this, the next it's that.

It's all because of miscommunication and very messy last minute change of plans . No one actually knows what they are doing and WHY they are doing it. I was doing things based on what's instructed, not knowing why I am doing it, and it's getting frustrating. I asked before, believe me...Why am I doing this particular task, but I never really got a proper answer before. Its always 'do as boss says' .

If I know WHY, I got my own brains to figure something out that would probably suite majority, rather than something I just do blindly, and put my name in shame in the office. I believe I am capable. I understand things pretty quickly. I never need a second time explanation. And these 'mistakes' are making me look stupid.

For example, there were two final briefings for a particular event. One by the event's leader, the other is the head of department. The first and second briefing ...I had completely DIFFERENT TASK. One wants me to sit in front of the media desk, the other requires me to run around. After meeting, I asked...I was given the reply to 'do as what you hear from the latest meeting'.

So should I completely abandon the previous tasks that was allocated to me? What if the event leader was expecting me to do as she asked me to (we were people that time)? And last minute only I got to know that two other people are suppose to 'help' me. I did everything till right before the event , MYSELF already...they never appeared before.

Now, I was told to just put the 'something' on hold. So many of them are waiting for my fax on
those 'official letters' so that they can hand it to their superior, before the superior realized the 'something' was given out just like that.

Sigh. How am I to explain to them tomorrow? Some even went out to get them personally for me, get them stamped by their company chop, numbered it accordingly. Eased my job. Money was spent here you know, on something that they never need!!!

HAIH.

Sometimes at 6pm sharp, when it's time to leave, suddenly I'll be called to do work because they finally realised that they can't finish the task in time. My brother ditched me at Pavilion a few times already. I gave in a few times, but no more. I got no free parking, and I can't make people come to Pavilion to fetch me home again !!

Day 15 : death in the office!

As in dead boring.

Aftermath of after so many series of event. But another one coming up again, Pavilion's 2nd year Anniversary! Got goodie bags giveaway(or must win one, forgot), that's worth almost RM900k LOL!!

My office bestie, Jade, is a Eurasian. Half Swiss, half Malaysian, that's why she's so hot lah but more towards the Swiss side, hardly comes back Malaysia! Then don't know how she calculated, one day my boss ask her, how much is the perceived value...she said RM900K with a serious face. The whole office shouted. hahaha. She thought so low of Malaysian Ringgit! Everyone will be lining up to get all the goodie bags from Pavilion.

Then during lunch time, while walking to Wong Kok Char Chan Teng, saw a Middle East woman, lying down on the floor ! All of us got the shocked, wanted to call Pavilion's emergency officer (I still dont know who the hell is this person), but her family members said she's always like this (fainting everywhere). But so wierd, one of her shoes came off. Faint already the shoe can drop off? Its like sandle kinda shoe, it doesn't come off as easily as slippers or even normal shoes =/. So after few minutes, she wakes up. The End (of the most interesting event that happened at work).

At night went clubbing.
So long never upload photos and it was a pain in the a$$ when I upload just now, forgot that damn blogspot is opposite. You have to upload the latest picture first, and then the earlier onesss -.-

All my favourite photos..not the car ones. I was so afraid of forgetting where I park again that I took multiple photos of foreign car parks (second time parking there only!). The parking lot number and also the map! This year itself, I forgot where I park at least 3 times already, sucks.

Then after clubbing go mamak, and after mamak....followed the wrong car (FML!!!) and got lost in Subang. AT 4AM!! and reach home almost 5am. Its like almost 24 hours since I last slept.

But I woke up at 4-5pm today so yea, got enough rest I guess.

And I got the bestest bf in the whole wide world!!!!! World's most patient guy in the world. Can never find another. Love you, Eddie!!

Friday, 22 January 2010

Day 14 : boring nia.

Today did loads of data entry. Got to know the less popular medias of Malaysia and also some international ones. Divide them into either broadcasting, newspaper, magazines or international media, and key in their details.

Then hand out circulars.

Mixed with other colleagues today, as my best friend at Pavilion is going to be on medical leave for two days!

Called up old folks people also, to ask if they want beds from Pavilion Residence's showrooms. They actually use brand new beds for showrooms (those rooms that are decorated nicely and show to people before people buy a unit at a condominium kind). Very nicely done though, wish I have a unit over there, right upstairs Pavilion. lol. No need to pay the killer parking fees, just have to face very high grocery bills if we were to shop for daily needs at Mercatos!

Tomorrow also another boring dayyyy.. 31st of January is Pavilion's 2nd year Anniversary !!!

Goodnite

Thursday, 21 January 2010

Day 13 : Data Entryy..!!!! Circular !!!

Where's all the media when you want them near? When there's something thats worth the media's attention, they all come in bulk. Now nothing much's happening in the office, HENCE data entry and circular passing.

Actually I kinda like giving out circulars. Its always I timetable my data entry tasks in the morning, and after lunch I hand out the circulars, just so that I WALK after I eat shitloads!! Putting on weight. My skirt's not tighter, just getting higher :|

and finally, found a picture of me in Cheongsam. haha.

Spot meeeeeeee.

P.s. the girl on the most left is my super pretty colleague. Eurasian. Jealous ! Mix people are always extremely pretty.

Nothing much. Toodles.

Wednesday, 20 January 2010

Day 12 : boring day

Did nothing much today. Just distribution of angpaos, photocopying of some documents and getting my invoice right.

Then whole noon, ate like hell, and distribute circulars like hell also.

Aftermath of a big event. Everyone is now just waiting for it to appear in news.

Nothing much!

Then like I kept reading the dragon boat incident at Penang. Quite heart wrenching, to see 5 young (quite cute also) boys drowned to their death. The teacher also quite young, 28 yr old only! My cousin in Penang's school - Chung Ling High School. Thank god my cousins are not involved.

Even with life jackets also 2 out of 3 drowned. Why kept fighting about if they worn it or not since they died anyway with or without life jackets?

Just not to go to places with strong undercurrents. Somehow in the sea, its unlike swimming pool I remembered (I turned 360' EASILY in sea before without any undercurrents!)

Aihs. Somemore chinese newspaper, can see the faces of the bodies (saw Jason Ch'ng's body, as in can see the face..) He just looks like he's asleep.

Somemore he has a girlfriend of 3 years. I saw a girl in the chinese newspaper, she looks like his girlfriend(based on his holding hands pictures with a girl) and she looked hysterical! Can't imagine if I am in her shoes. Childhood sweethearts leh. Wonder how she is coping ~ =/

Nothing much. Damn tired again, Going to bed. gnite

Tuesday, 19 January 2010

Day 11 : Not really a heart of gold...really - Pavilion CNY.

Going to write things quickly cause I am DEAD exhausted. and nope, was so busy until I forgot to camwhore .

Guided all the old folks from bus, to Grand Palace Restaurant, bump into Pheobe (Wah Loi Toi veejay), the bloody waitress over there rather serve a Veejay than me with 10 old folks behind, waiting to be seated. wtf.

So yeah ,a lot of last minute that-is-your-duty , you-must-do-this-and-that and where-is-what? everywhere. Got nagged like hell for not knowing anything because my hands are full !!!!!!

I had to call bus company, then the driver, then the old folks home...then wait for 3 bus, run up and down, get wheel chairs, bring them to toilet, help them open the tap, bring water bottles and even open it for them, bring those with poor bladders to toilet, and loads of handshakes.

AND YET PEOPLE STILL ASK ME WHERE ARE THE LEFT OVER ANGPAOS THAT WAS LEFT ON THE GUEST LIST TABLE.. I WASN'T EVEN NEAR THAT TABLE AT ALL!!

Last minute also I got thrown to stage, because I can speak mandarin, hokkien, cantonese, english MIX (not strong in any of those dialects + language but understandable when I mixed them all). Emcee can speak mandarin but its not nice to arrange the old folks behind the mike, so I was targeted.

Got them to line up, and had to explain to an elderly that the mock cheque is not a real cheque and she cannot bring that super huge mock cheque (as big as a flat screen tv or bigger!) back home in Mandarin! How the hell do you call a rickshaw in mandarin?

But in the end, the old folks kept wanting to hold my hand and thank me profusely. I kept saying welcome....but deep inside, I know it wasn't even my idea to begin with...to invite them to this event. I am not the one who's suppose to be acknowledge even. It was mostly for Pavilion to get media attention, as like what any other organisations are doing. But they just thank you sincerely, without knowing the reason behind, making me feel even more horrible.

I spoke to a lot of the old folks...oldest was 95 years old. Spoke to one very fit 74 year old woman. When she told me she's 74 years old, I can't stop thinking about my grandmother.

She's just younger than my grandmother by a year only, but she looks so much more healthier...she still can walk, lead, and like support old folks. When I first saw her, I thought she was only early 60s. Can't believe it...if only my grandmother took as much care of her health like her....

Even my current grandparent's health...are quite bad. Shit, I can never imagine them leaving..!! EVER!! Sometimes I purposely go over to my grandparent's house to see my baby cousin...I wanted to see them, too. Always made sure I talk abit here and there with them, sometimes just take a peep from our connected kitchens. As much as being a very loud person at home, I am quite shy when it comes to showing affections to my family members..I nag and tease because I care and love them. I don't know how to tell them I love them directly.

At the end of the whole CNY event, the old folks call me to visit them. I would if I can even spend more time trying to get to know my own grandparents, who seems to be showing really black face nowadays. HAIH.

Soon I am going to be going over to Australia. I hope they do last till then..when I am back here for good, at least can see them more often.

Sigh, only after my grandmother from Penang pass away only I learn how to appreciate.

Miss her so much actually. Thanks Guama for your blessings and things that you have left for me (and bro, and mom).

Goodnite,

Saturday, 16 January 2010

Day10: He's the sweetest treat.

As the dates are approaching, the pressure is getting higher (and office internet getting slower). Yesterday was also the first day my 'auntie' visited. Being an anemic, I was pale, frail, in pain, feeling weak and tired all the time.

I was sent to attend a Cuisine Media Review.

The photographer in action.

The boss is very very chatty. The restaurant? La Lot Vietnamese Cuisine, located at 6th floor Pavilion. Was given all their signature dishes and drinks to try F.O.C! It will be on a chinese news paper. Don't know when.

The food was really good, except that I think I can't take ginger much, cause my stomach was burning at the end of lunch. But they really serves quality food. No MSG (except in sauces). I am not promoting, just honest reviews because I can taste those herbs in the soup.

I even ate beef !!! FML!!! He said they import their beef from Australia, and yes, their beef has no weird Malaysian beef taste. I eat to ensure mah. Malaysia's beef meat very smelly. Australia's one odorless, cause I ate it without knowing it is beef before!

Healthy and tasty. I love their Durian Cendol, Stuffed tomatoes andddddddd this pot of stewed duck meat - super tender. The beef one ,u m, taste better than any other beef I ever ate in Malaysia. I didn't get to taste their Chi Cheong Fan T.T Was too slow, and apparently it was so good that few people had second helpings without remembering I haven't had one yet.

eat - talk - take pictures - talk more - EAT MORE = 2 hours.

It was a relaxing 2 hours.

THEN comes the second half of the day = STRESS - WILL COME TO THAT LATER.

At 6pm, when I was about to leave the office (to Parkson to get some stuffs done), opened the door and saw Eddie with a bouquet of flowers!!!

My eyes opened widely in shocked and asked " How come you're here????????"

he = /omfg (my msn emoticon).

But like was in a midst of some work, and during peak time, there's no time for going back sharp at 6pm. Even had a meeting after that. He waited an hour plus , reading woman's magazine and talking to the receptionist guy. haha.

about 7.30pm, finished the meeting. A lot more work to be done in the office, then I tried to look for things I can do to be of help...but my colleagues all come in and said " What you doing here on your 2nd year anniversary ? " . I /omfg ! How the hell they know, but of course Eddie told them .

But yeah, got chased out to celebrate. Good also, I felt like I was about to faint already during meeting, aihs.

The guard taking care of the lift to my office was shouting at Eddie " You good, man! You good, man!" with loads of thumbs up!

????
At Pavilion ~~

Look at my tired stressed up face that some inefficient company(not saying Pavilion) gave me.

When I got home after a really good dinner at Tony Romas downstairs (leaving a 50cents tip!!! ugh, I am so not used to giving tips), told my mum that my eye bags are wrinkling.

Mum : Smile and Laugh less la!

Me : /omfg ! (um just imagine a face mouth /jaw wide open)

What kind of mom call their daughter to smile and laugh less ?

OK, back to business.

Finally got hold of all the old folks, the number of people and also required documentation. The only problem now is the fucked up Plusliner company.

I am not trying to be racist here, but why is it ALWAYS the malays that piss me off. They told me that they will send the invoice before 6pm FRIDAY. Until now its almost 1pm SATURDAY. NO NEWS AT ALL!

Another fucker dude said will send the driver's details to me by Saturday morning, even said that though he don't work on Saturday, he will go office for me. PUI. I CALLED BOTH OF THEM UP, HE OFFED HIS PHONE, ANOTHER ONE DIDN'T BOTHER PICKING UP MY PHONE.

Don't say words you don't mean, it's TWO companies' reputation at stake here, fuckers!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hate it when people pretend all sweet and giving assurance on things THEY CAN'T CONFIRM. If you are too pampered and lazy to do it, then tell me, there's a few other companies that I can use you know.

I chose you because I decided that since I sent you the most details, you should be able to handle it all well IF you have at least normal I.Q. level. Guess not.

So I called up their officer (thank God I got 4 people from that firm's contact number) - she said she's not working, but she will try to contact them, and then contact me shortly. I am giving her like 2-3hours grace. Around 3pm I will call her up if she haven't call me back.

The company's name = Plusliner Travel & Tours SDN BHD.

If I am incharged of transportation again, I am NEVER using PLUSLINER.

Day 09: Stress :(

Worked till 7+pm again..TODAY!!!

Get in contact with old folks home, bus company, get the number of old folks going, etc etc. Write letters, show to superiors and get them approved and signed before faxing them out.

1 person tell me A, the other person tell me B in meetings. Got all confused up!! Because I am continuing the job of my another colleague who's going to be on leave till Monday :((

Got jealous that the 'models' get to stand on the bridge to usher the VIPs. Giving them gifts. Whereas I am going to be sitting on the Guest table , writing down guest list =/ and have to run to the bus parking bay to get the old folks.

But I am still going to be wearing cheongsam and putting on a big flower on my head. humph. Though the dress code is now formal wear, but they did say PREFERABLY CHEONGSAM. hehe. This weekend shopping time ~~

Apart from all that 'fun' , at the last minute, I had to choose a cute decor item, to put on gift boxes, from Parkson, had to run around Pavilion to Parkson and take pictures of what I think looks nice and show it to superiors.

Then just bluetoothed the pictures into my computer and send it to them online at 10pm at home.

Wow. what an accomplishment!
Tomorrow will be busier.

Have to close the contract between the old folks home, accept and sign whatever contract the bus company give me, MORE CIRCULARS to be given out, last but not least...MEDIA REVIEW~~ wooHOOO !

Its like they work me up quite hard, and treat me with treats like this. Get to be with a journalist and a photographer to assist a restaurant into answering Q&A. Yataaaaaaaaa. Going to read up about the restaurant now.

Day08: Wah super busy.

Today damn busy, and got stripped of my 'model' role for next Monday ! :((

My colleague really decided to take a leave, leaving me to do the more hands on real PR job...um..not too bad in the end. I am having a chance of a life time here to prove my capability, (with experience of less than 2 weeks)...to manage 3 old folks home, their transportation, in a very super damn formal way with loads of documents involved, while taking care of the company's image.

1 old folks home, the person in charge speaks Cantonese, another 1 Mandarin and the 3rd one English.

I even followed my mum to cousin's house 1minute drive away, to ask her to teach me all the words, in both Mandarin and Cantonese...those formal mandarin words! Just so that I don't sound unprofessional nor nervous with super broken chinese.

oH, had a chance to see a photoshoot for something regarding Pavilion today:

hehe, made the picture smaller.

I am really afraid now if I am revealing too much.

Attended 3 meetings right after lunch, until about 4, and wrote my second minutes of meeting in 3hours ....TILL 7++ PM! Not that I write damn slow, in between, my PR colleague was passing me and guiding me to take over her job from tomorrow onwards till Monday.

Yeay, more PR- related work! but boo, I can't be in the centre of attention anymore for CNY :(( !!!!

Gooodnight

Day07: My very first minutes writing..!

Going to go briefly and fast.

First thing I did when I reached the office was count the contest forms again. Finish counting 3.6k contest forms manually at almost 12pm. Pretty fast I counted compared to someone in the office grr..

Then check my emails and all, got really touching replies from my unit chair and experiential learning officer..as I told them I am seriously lacking time to even sleep. Maximum sleep I get per day is 6hours, minimum is about 4hours. I usually try sleeping latest by 1am, and have to get up by 7am. Sometimes I sleep around 2am, when I got more stuff than expected, to read up online and understand.

Apart from that, my results got corrected and I finally can enroll into my internship! So I got all the needed forms from my university to Pavilion, and spent the whole time sending it to people in Pavilion who needed those documents.

Waited for my colleague to finish her meeting and we went lunch together at 1pm , eating in Carl's JR. She told me the head of department wants everyone to wear cheongsam next Monday for our CNY event at Pavilion for girls, and the guys wear guy version of cheongsam. Whats it called already ???? And apparently, I am being sent to stand at the entrance by my head of department cause of *ahem* ask me if you want to know . But because my colleague might take leave on that day itself, I might lose my chance in the spotlight. NOOOO!

Bump into my dad and the chairman of Pavilion in Pavilion. Was told my brother is in Pavilion also. 3/4 of my family is in Pavilion, except my mom. Dad introduced me to ALLLLL his friends...

Right after lunch, immediately got meeting at 2pm. Venue changed last minute from Yo!Sushi to Dome. I was late. Was very nervous during the meeting. Met up with a lot of big shots. Editor and managers of Female and SEVENTEEN magazine, a famous local designer (I saw him on TV before)...all of them were giving me their name cards and I just have to blurt out "I am just a PR intern"..TIMIDLY (I am always all nervous when I meet VIPs) . My manager doesn't seem to be happy with my answer though. I guess it was more cause I didn't really introduce myself properly. I always feel very inferior, hence the lack of confidence to talk. I mumbled my way through.

I wanted to clarify my position so that when it's time to brainstorm and share ideas, they won't expect much from me, which MIGHT save Pavilion from embarrassment for having a mute 'employee'. Its sometimes not because I am lacking creativity to voice out opinions, I just feel like I don't have the right to share my ideas. I am not even as experienced as them in the field =/. But my mind was indeed blank through out the whole meeting anyways. All of them kept shooting ideas out. Very exciting and no time for silence. All very knowledgeable and quick people. I like! Was there absorbing information like a dry sponge.

Discussed about event plans for Pavilion in the final quarter of the year. Need to discuss now as there's going to be A LOT of celebrities involved ! As celebrities schedules are tight, have to confirm the plans and book a spot in their schedules ASAP. How I wish I am still working for Pavilion till then...!

Oh well, at least some of them are pretty nice, they told me its alright that I am just an intern :) Thanks. Those words really made me feel so much better and comfortable.

Oh yah, they also asked my PR Manager , why name the new mall Fahrenheit 88?

Her answer was due Feng Shui , i.e. auspicious number 88, and also the Malaysian temperature is generally about 88 degrees Fahrenheit.

She also mentioned that when Fahrenheit 88 is done....It will be like Pavilion is targeted at parents, and Fahrenheit 88 for the children.

I find it important to mention it here, because during the Press Conference, no reporters asked questions like this, or more like no one can really hear. So in the end, not many reporters asked any questions. So in case reporters are researching for information, they might find some source here (must reference me ah ! haha).

In the end, after meeting, I was told to write minutes of the meeting! Omgosh. Lucky I wrote down loads of notes, and got a few name cards, and asked for the names of other people from my another colleague who was at the meeting.

Thats why need to sleep early, never know what work might be asked from you so your brain have to be attentive 247, especially during meetings.

After meeting, after writing minutes, I continued giving out circulars , and finished up my floors. 2 small floors left to go!

There will be another WIP meeting tomorrow at 10.30am with RAPR. Need to sleep. almost 1am.

Goodnight.

Day06 : Fahrenheit 88 and can I sue TGIF (for instant cash)? hehe, just curious..!

Today was the 'Debut of The New KL Plaza'.

This means Pavilion:
  1. Bought over KL Plaza ( a really old shopping mall that almost bankrupt but was sold to Pavilion)
  2. Rebuilt the building structure
  3. Renamed KL Plaza
  4. is in havoc! (quite a bit of last minute rush, but we managed in the end anyway)
  5. is overworking their interns staff! haha, kidding. Everyone worked as hard.

So here goes...the seed of everyone at Pavilion Sdn Bhd 's hard work,to pre-launch Fahrenheit 88!

I am always on standby, in case my PR Manager or fellow colleagues says "Michelle, go up to the office and print 50 fact sheets. " or "I need 50 event sheets".

Yeap, that's my job. Can run faster already after wearing my Hush Puppies. HAHA.At least got reason to stay and see the event :p.

I do learnt loads of stuffs too, apart from giving out circulars, counting thousands of contest forms and photocopying stuffs...because I am included in every single meeting! *proud face*

Get to see the freebies they pack in media kit, get to roughly estimate how many 'Media' stickers or ' Retailer' stickers and 'Reserved- VIP' stickers to stick on the chairs (VIPs are in accordance to those who are attending, 4 x 8chairs Media, the rest are retailers)

The whole place is reserved strictly for VIPs, people wearing the Pavilion tag, medias, and invited retailers.

All the medias and retailers gathering after taking their goodie bag (media- 1 tshirt + fact sheet+diary, retailers- 1 tshirt+event sheet)

After all the speeches, all 3 VIPs ( the woman on the right is my CEO!)

Okay, I am going to briefly talk about Fahrenheit 88 from what I understand.

It is going to be the next Sungai Wang! Affordable, with 1 floor dedicated to Japanese and Korean Fashion ! 1 floor digital and computer stuff...You can also eat all the cheap hawker yummy food from Jalan Imbi without walking one big round as Fahrenheit is building a connecting bridge to attract patrons from that side, too! Brilliant!

Actually when I first read about it, I thought of The Gardens and Midvalley. The Gardens being targeted at the higher income class, whereas Midvalley are for the middle income crowd.

Same goes to Pavilion (higher income class) , and Fahrenheit 88 (middle income people).

The new look! Classy looking right!

I remembered the VIP who restructured this building said something about the structure of the building, being only 1 circle per floor , easier for people to access shops that they want to go without getting lost on the same floor (meaning, the worst case scenario is that you'll just end up walking in circles if you stay on the exact floor).

Some parts of the building will also be using natural light during the day(environmental friendly!), and also the main entrance from 50metres of the old KL Plaza, it got increased to 90metres in Fahrenheit 88.

This means bigger view of the whole mall when you enter the mall from the main entrance!

Best of all is that its opposite Pavilion only:
From the top of Pavilion mall (look at the bottom of the above picture).

So if you are broke after spending RM30k on a Rolex watch, just head over to Fahrenheit 88 and feel better with yourself, knowing that you still can still afford loads of stuffs from Fahrenheit 88 (strongly emphasizing that things there are way cheaper than in Pavilion!).

After the launching, comes the Press Conference at TGIF :

Q&A session amongst VIPs and reporters of newspapers/magazines.

sheesh , I am like promoting Pavilion only instead of sharing my day as an intern.

Then FREE leftover FOOD!!

See people surrounding those goodies during work time at 4+pm! hehe. My office very fun one. No one is shy at all. Work can come anytime, as long as you finish what you are suppose to do/assigned for the day.

my yummy plate of goodies :

Yeah, ate alot! Didn't have time to eat lunch initially.

Tore my skirt on this fateful day, and had to use my 20minute lunch time to buy a dress. OF ALL DAYS! But nevermind, in the end I saved money on lunch, and can pig on free food!

My work station :
My laptop from Pavilion- lend me only, not give me.

Yeah, bout the suing TGIF part ...!!!!

Half way while eating TGIF's MACARONI AND CHEESE (free from the Press Conference at TGIF)

GOT PLASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!@#@!%@%$!@$^$#@ FML!!!

Can sue or not ? Easy money !!! and before that plastic kills my system. After that bite off the Macaroni and Cheese, got a wierd after taste lor!

I learn from legal studies, people found snail in their beer, can sue. Plastic fried together with food leh ?!!!

Oh yeah, Pavilion aim to open Fahrenheit88 in 8 August 2010.

Stay tuned!

Day05: Wore slipper.

Wore slippers to office on Friday and really got questioned ! Two people caught me wearing slippers. So I took out my feet and show them those strings of blisters that are across my feet and they all ask me 'Why the heck you wear high heels for?" o...m...g!

I thought appropriate shoes to be worn in the office are high heels. Until I kept complaining to my hot Eurasian colleague without noticing what she wears on her feet, and she quickly told me she wears flats ,too and I was quickly amazed that I can actually wear slip in shoe-flats kinda shoes.

Then Eddie came fetch me from work, before that hanged out at Pavilion, and watched 'OLD DOGS'. Quite nice the movie! Hilarious! Got kidnapped to his house, slept over, and sleep - wake up- eat - sleep again, and then looked at the time, and was shocked that it was already 5+pm.

Showered and all, went to 1utama (AGAIN) and finally bought a really comfortable pair of shoes from Hush Puppies. Almost RM300 ! When I first wore it, I swear my feet felt like it flew to feet's heaven on cloud 9....and quickly told the guy I am taking this pair of shoes!

I think it was because right before Hush Puppies, I went to VINCCI ( made in Malaysia - economical what)...tried so many pairs, and it hurts before I even started walking. Its not the wrong size cause I had 1inch space between my soles and the shoe...its the width. I got really broad feet. And if those shoes can't pillow my blisters ....its just not good enough.

Hush Puppies even with those damned blisters, the cow skin leather cushioned my blisters, and best of all, it feels like wearing a sports shoe. Actually bottom half it looks like sports shoe, top half looks like those formal kinda shoes.

Haha. okay enough crapping. Nothing to write lah. Been handing out circulars everyday recently. And after work I shop and watch movie at Pavilion. I think most of the shops recognized my face already. Its like my second home.

Sunday-tomorrow, is Eddie's pool party. Cant wait, I want to play board games and WII~ at least can learn some stuffs. I am lacking general knowledge and vocabulary.

Day04 : Physically un 'FEET' :@

Today learnt nothing much, but I still love this internship. A good break actually.

Probably cause of the working atmosphere, the people, and friends I made. The office is very safe also! I carelessly left my bag opened one day, with my wallet being shown to the world, and went out to for a few good ol' hours to give out those circulars, and came back with all my money intact!

During the day, I got my media kit's fact sheet sent to me. Haha, finally, something that reminds me of what I've learnt. I remember writing a whole media kit before during my last 2 semester, but I totally forgot what to put inside.

Left at 6pm sharp because my dad was waiting for me to send me home. Ended leaving Pavilion at 7+pm cause I needed to buy a pair of new FLATs. Heels are causing serious injuries to my feet, I have been limping back work since 2 days ago , till today. Poor feet and myself. Even my dad call me to wait at one spot while he go and drive the car the car to fetch me.

Sadly, I have a pair of common size feet. Size 38 sold out in all shops that sells affordable black flat shoes. But I am wearing my slippers to office tomorrow, no matter what ! If anyone dares question me and my informality...I shall sXXXe my feet and its blisters up their XXcX! haha metaphorically okay. Just kidding.

Toodles, bed time.

I had an interesting lunch at Sakae Sushi, but my phone's upstairs, too lazy to get. Had Mentaiko tofu, curry chicken udon and some crispy chicken egg roll thingy. RM30!!! What a very expensive lunch. Last time when I work at KL, my lunch was RM3.50 at Wisma Genting. Now it's RM30 at Pavilion. Times have change!
