Day 02 : Knowledge is everywhere!

Today, learned lots again, and I felt super useful/knowledgeable.

My manager call me to join in for the PR WIP (work in progress - new acronym I learned after googling before sleeping yesterday at night) meeting. Together we brainstormed all the plans for next Monday's KL Plaza retail celebration (I think) which will be held in Pavilion Centre Court, CNY , and Pavilion's 2nd Anniversary ^^.

Then like thank god I copied down a lot of notes from previous meeting, and contributed things that they missed out. I was pretty attentive for the two hour meeting yesterday.

After that continued with me calling all the old folks home, getting all the information needed. That was done! yeah. Also did 'promotional mechanism'(whatever promotions and its terms) on excel for my manager.

Then media clippings (reading of newspaper and magazines , searching for anything written about Pavilion). Learnt about PR Value , too. But have yet to apply it.

Going to read up about media kit. Probably the next task of mine.

Tomorrow meeting with RAPR (public relations agency) ,telling them schedules and stuffs. They are the ones responsible for writing a media/public release! hehe. Maybe can learn a trick or two.

And do you all know... KLCC already got their event planned out till 2014! Wow. They plan 5 years ahead. We plan 1 month before the event takes place. Vast difference, but still as successful. KLCC probably successful as it is right now because they plan wayyy ahead. Pavilion..probably depend more on creativity and modern stuffs. My head of department prefers modern designs over traditional ones (for angpaos).

Did some research (in order not to embarrass myself tomorrow during meeting) about the PR agency and this news article, so powerful leh. Nowonder my manager wants to quickly get everything planned in order to book RAPR before their schedule is full.

It’s not easy being on top, Datuk Nancy Yeoh, organiser of STYLO and CEO of RAPR Mileage Communications Sdn Bhd, confesses.

IF there is one word to describe Nancy Yeoh, the legendary PR Queen of Malaysia, it would be gregarious.

Wow! PR Queen of Malaysia!

When I first told my mum that I've decided to take Public Relations, she said "yeah, hopefully you can be as successful as Oprah Winfrey."

After she got to know the CEO of Pavilion, Mdm. Joyce Yap, she said "wow, hopefully you can become like her in future"

I can predict what she's going to say next.

After work, Eddie came to Pavilion to find me. We watched 'The Vampire's Assistant' 9.40pm - 11.49 pm. The movie sucks!

Rushed AND GOT LOST on the way back from Pavilion. Damn...I still don't know how the HELL to get home from Pavilion !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

G'day!
