Bad day @ work. Customer is always right? HELL NO!

Sigh.
Hate it when I do something nice for people, but is seen as the opposite.
I am just going to vent my anger. You understand or not, doesn't matter. Can't keep this matter in!!!

Today, a customer came in and ordered "Harajuku" + extra Red Bean ice cream and an Afagatto.

An extra scoop of ice cream on top of an "ice cream meal aka Harajuku in this case"  is Aud3.50. Red bean is a premium flavour, so it's extra AUD1. Making it AUD4.50.

Then 15 minutes later, I got called by the same customer. She told me that she really love the red bean ice cream. She wants to get another scoop of that ice cream.

Eating in the restaurant , is AUD6.00 per scoop. Premium flavour will add in AUD1.00. In total it's AUD7.

So since I can see that she really love the ice cream, I personally told my kitchen crew friend "Eh, scoop extra large scoop for the customer pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeee! She really like the ice cream, and she's ordering it second time leh".

So my friend gave her this HUGE scoop, almost the size of 2 scoops of ice cream.

She's happy.

Bill came, she saw the total, she look like she got the shock of her life.

My restaurant receipt is something like this :

PASSIONFLOWER

1 Scoop                     AUD6.00
1 Affagatto                  AUD 7.00
2 Azuki Red Bean      AUD5.50
1 Harajuku                AUD12.80
Total :                        AUD31.30

(FML I REMEMBER EVERYTHING THOROUGHLY)

Is the receipt so hard to understand?

According to her, she said 1 Scoop is already charged into the bill (ie. the AUD6), she doesn't understand why there's 2 Azuki Red Bean.

1 Scoop (as THE MENU SAID) is AUD6.00. Premium flavours = + AUD1.

Cause the receipt needs to clarify which premium flavour the customer ate, hence the AUD1 is included into the "2 Azuki Red Bean", which totaled up to AUD5.50 (AUD4.50 for the scoop that comes with the Harajuku).

How can human brain (or maybe just her brain) work so slow man!!! One look at the receipt I know what's going on, and she there looking all confused.

Mind you, I am never incharge of the order of the receipt/ how each items are placed in the bill ! All I am in charge of is taking customer's orders and ensure the whole floor + toilet is clean.

Then she look at me as if I cheated her money by giving her extra large scoop just to make her pay more. It took me 10 minutes to explain it to her, and she just don't get it, or perhaps, DON'T WANT TO BELIEVE IT, so she demanded to speak to my manager.

My manager obviously knows whats going on. But still, he gave them AUD4.50 off  (just for the sake of good customer service).

Sigh. What accusation is this. I was all trying to be nice and lovely, but I felt like I just got punched in the eye.

So much for "CUSTOMER'S ALWAYS RIGHT" ?

I see this as a case of customer trying to take advantage of that right.
