It's time of the week again! Thursday ! Where we gather and explore a place to eat, that is tried, tested and highly recommended by the organiser, my friend!
Last week was Western (Mrs. Parma), this week it's Japanese !! Next week break :(, but the following week, we're going to have Mongolian! Never tried Mongolian food before.
The menu.
Look at the name !!! I was quite turned off by Caterpillar Roll though :s , ew. Got the girl head right next to it somemore , which means Chef's Recommendation. Should've name it a more mouth watering , saliva induced name.
You can order a la carte, or buffet :
Lazy to upload the menu. But basically it's one fix (high) price for unlimited flow of sushi from their a la carte menu. Wasn't feeling in the mood for sushi. So ordered udon.
3/4 of my table chose buffet, wherease only 4 people including myself chose ala carte!
I don't like buffet style most restaurants opt in Australia. You always have to call the waitress, and tell her what you want to refill from the menu...rather than walk around rows and rows and rows of food, and choose whichever food you want.
While waiting for food.
Camwhore!
The ambience of the restaurant :
My left view
My right view
I wish I was sitting at the table from my the right view. Japanese concept, not sure if have to take off shoes, but its like you can sit on the floor, but yet got space for your legs underneath the table (wtf, do you even understand what I am trying to say?).
Middle part of the restaurant.
Attendees. Well I don't call them my friends, cause I don't know all of them.
A few friends , Eddie and I ordered this appetizer to share:
Tori karrage? Fried chicken ? Damn nice. Best I ever had !
A picture of my friend's meal :
Tempura. Aud17, and that is a lot of prawn tempura!!! Very generous servings!!
Then ...
dA dA dAA DUMM...
I decided to be adventurous again, and ordered their Dynamite Udon.
Really big portion and SUPER YUMMY !!! Look at the size as compared to the regular chop stick size.
The patty is very special. The flavours just burst in your mouth. Yumzzzzzzzzzzz <3 !!! It has like crab stick, scallop I think and fish egg.
Then Eddie's one ALSO DAM YUMZZZZ !!!
I don't usually like Coconut, but this one tasted heavenly. It's somewhat sweet, but not too sweet...crunchy and complement the salmon's slimey-ness !
Argh !! I did not only finish my udon, I kept stealing Eddie's !!!
As the other end of my table was having buffet, normal sushi looking stuffs.
Got the sushi picture above (the buffet) from my friend's camera!
So here is the location of the restaurant :
Take tram 72 from Bourke Street (infront of the Telstra building), stop 29.
End of a scrumptious dinner.
And Eddie says girls camwhore too much. Of course la, I wouldn't want to end up looking like him in the 3 pictures up there!! Camwhore FAIL ! He can never pose properly.
....
Have you ever expect to see someone or something so badly, until like for a split second, that someone's image popped out of no where, like he/she was right infront of your eyes ?Yesterday was the first time I experienced that. For a split second I saw the person's face. Not that I was expecting very badly to see that someone, but I really thought that the someone is there, until I saw the rooster!!! And the fact that the person was NO WHERE IN SIGHT after that split second. Hmmm Bizarre-d out.
