Last paper. May I pass in peace!

Today I sat for my final paper. Hope I pass it ! The paper was alright though.

Something bizarre happened today.

When I reached home and emptied my mail box, I received 3 assignment back. Yeap, passed all of it, but one of my assignments didn't "pass enough" for me to pass a subject. I got 47.975/100.

So immediately I emailed my lecturer.  The reason I failed my subject was because I hand in my assignments late anyway, I did pretty alright for that subject. Just that I hand in late and got -40%. Ouch.

I asked if there is ANYTHING AT ALL that I can do, because to fail an AUD4.5K subject , not because I do not understand the subject , but because I hand in the assignment SUPER late due to procrastination + laziness + lethargicness + burn out (there, I was being honest).  AUD4.5K , almost RM15K , is a HUGE sum of money. I will do whatever it takes to get that 2 marks man.

I even got my personal Feng Shui Lou to write the email for me, like construct it to sound more persuasive and ...favourable! hahaha.

She replied that she is sorry to hear that, but there's nothing she can do, except for me to see Student Advisor, or take the subject again during summer.

I was    d e v a s t a t e d.

So I hunt down the student advisor's email , and emailed her this REALLY long email, about my personal issues, and why I was unable to hand in my assignment on time and send it.

On the other window, I was chatting with the Feng Shui Lou, telling him, "Never believe in fortune telling man. Fortune teller said this year is going to be a successful year for me. Guess what? I failed the biggest subject for whole of this year!".

Immediately after typing that, I ALT+TAB and look at my email inbox, and HOLY CxW ! I actually received an email 9 hours ago from my lecturer, saying that she's going to waive 5% of my penalty for late submission, and it will give me a PASS !!!! Gmail , you suck !! How can I receive my email 9 hours later?

After all the hassle , into telling my personal problems to random International Student Advisor I Googled (yeah, can't find their info in my university's website).

But all's good. I passed the subject I dreaded MOST.

Another subject to worry. But that subject, AUD2.5K ... at least 50% cheaper that the other subject. This semester not a good semester for me !!!!
