The phrase "Life is like a packet of M&Ms. You'll never know what you get." Doesn't quite define life much. Because once you pop, they all tastes the same anyway. Unless you mixed M&Ms and Skittles together, but still, they come as a pleasant surprise. No matter which one you get. Both sweet, both yummy, and that's contradictoring LIFE.
For me , "Life is like a packet of Cashew Nuts. You'll never know what you get until you pop."
It's full of surprises. A healthy looking cashew nut may look tasty, but once you munch on it, IT'S TASTELESS! Whereas a nut that is looking so hard, cold, and a little bit old, can end up being real crunchy and has that stronger cashew nut taste (if you get what I mean). And some nuts...they just taste..NASTY!
Writing this while doing assignment, as my mouth stumbled upon bitter cashew nuts, the taste stayed on for like a few seconds, until I pop in another cashew nut to save my tastebuds, or wait for a while and my saliva will wash that bitterness off.
Kind of reflect life in a way when you stoop down really low, after making a stupid decision (like eating a bad cashew nut), the pain stays like the bitterness in the mouth, until you make another decision to either fix life up (potential good cashew nut) , or screw life again (obviously bad looking cashew nut)! Or made a lucky decision (a cashew nut that taste good regardless of how it look) or made a unlucky decision (a cashew nut that taste bad regardless of its looks). OR maybe wait for the pain to go away (saliva wash the bitterness away), and then come new opportunities (new packet of cashew nuts).
Make sense huh? Its versatile, too. If you don't like cashew nuts, you can substitute with macadamia nuts (MY FAVOURITE), or peanuts ..works the same way. All the nuts are mysterious, don't count in the really spoilt until it looks black, but yet it can still define people in some ways, for example, a guy who knows cigarette is obviously bad for health, and still go ahead and smoke to look stupid, not forgetting, cutting his own life short.
okay, de-stress time, OVER!
