Sydney Day 1

Heh can't stand my angry rants in previous post, got to update ASAP! 

Planned a trip with Eddie to go Sydney on 20th June 2011, it was funnz.

Booked his flight, he was due to arrive at 4.30pm. As for me, I took the bus from Canberra down to Sydney at 12.30pm . I reached an hour  earlier than Eddie.

I checked in the hotel alone, but didn't dare to stay in hotel room to wait for him for an hour. ahahaha! So damn old already but I am still afraid of being alone in hotels + using their toilet alone!

So decided to pop by Meet Fresh - another version of Snowflake (from Malaysia) 

But by the time I found the place, Eddie reach already, so gotta U-turn back to hotel before buying anything!!! Somemore the queue damn long, and I got cut -_-

Lesson of the story - Don't ever trust Google Map completely. They are actually not accurate at all !!

So went to meet up with him, rest awhile then went to Chat Thai for dinner. Famous must-go Thai restaurant in Sydney :

Notable dishes we ordered :

 Boneless chicken wings!! Yums.

SUKI - fried glass noodle.  Super niceeeeee, they have kangkung in it. I misssss kangkung so much.

We also ordered the usual green curry, nah, don't like it.  The reason I came back Chat Thai is because I miss their fried chinese donuts (yao char kuai / you diao)  with Pandan sauce VERY MUCH, but they said its only available at 9pm!! We had an early dinner at about 6pm!

Total damage : $45. (including tips Eddie gave them *pissy - we're so broke already he's still giving money out )

So dragged Eddie to that Meet Fresh /Snowflake-like place for desserts instead :

They also have this beeper thing to tell you your dessert's ready.

Reasonable price, I guess?! Aud5.50 per bowl.

Not bad at all !! I love Eddie's choice , the top bowl, it's like jelly-water. Very goo-ey. Mine was nice, except that the hyped taroballs doesn't really taste like taro. In fact it taste like nothing (bland) -_-.

After eating hide in hotel room again :

Then we took a stroll around city, bought mineral water for 3 days' consumption from Safeway :

Then it's 9pm sharp, went back to Chat Thai. The kitchen that's near the entrance = the place where they cook/prepare all their snacks and desserts !

Was feeling super greedy, and bought both the fried stuff. HEH.  

The big balls thingy got fish ball inside. Quite disappointed though, the quality deteriorated like mad (especially the Pandan sauce, taste super artificial unlike last time)

Eat liao then sleepppppppp zZZzzz. This-is-why-Im-phat.
