If there are anyone else that makes me feel like I belong apart from my own family, it would be Eddie's parents.
Eddie's parents are two of the most caring people I've ever seen. They treat everyone with kindness and are always concern of your wellbeing. They are good listeners as well, and are very nice to talk to. Even if Eddie and I doesn't end up together in future, I would still stay in touch and treat them with love & respect. They are almost like my second pair of parents ! Also, they don't judge. That is what I simply love about them.
It is like, they know I have issues with Eddie's brother, they will say that it's their son's fault, not mine (eventhough it's true!). I have heard of stories whereby a lot of parents always think their children is right, regardless of anything. I don't like those kinda parents. Bias and unruly. My parents are the opposite, if anything happens, it's my fault first, regardless of anything. FML.
Today, they came over to Eddie and my place to visit and bake cookies. She shared a trade secret recipe! Her best friend of 40 years sells them and they sell like hot cakes, especially during Chinese New Year. Her best friend didn't tell her the exact recipe actually, she just gave Eddie's mom the recipe of the ingredients without the measurement. Talking about best friends of 40 YEARS man!!
Will Panda and I be like that to each other 40 years later ? =/
So we just made them based on our "feelings" . lol.
They also brought us a packed Yee Sang from Malaysia...for us to share with , not only amongst me and Eddie, but also our other friends who didn't manage to go back home Malaysia for Chinese New Year !!! They thought Melbourne doesn't have Yee Sang, and want's everyone to feel as homely as they can be. T.T Super thoughtful, really.
Can't wait to eat it next week! Opening a CNY gathering at my house. haha.
