Picnic @ Geelong

It was easy planning this picnic especially when exams' are over . All of us had to just decide on a free day (ample of them), what food to bring (easy breezy) , time and of course place.

Its like all of us (yesh, including me , hah! ) just agrees / give in to each other. For example, I have a Malay friend who can't eat pork,  one friend who suddenly decided to be a pescetarian ( no meat diet , except fish and seafood + veggies) , two Hong Kong friends who doesn't like tasty food ( I swear! they don't like sauce), so my choice to make sandwich has been quite challenging, when it comes to WHAT fillings.

No chicken, no pork, no ham , no sauce, no tomatoes , no onions,no mayo....boils down to EGG T.T I hate eggs, but its alright cause anyway,  I can make my own sandwich and eat it at home.

So I made :

Tomato+ Spinach sandwich!
I thought its going to taste super blend and boring, but all the flavours just burst in the mouth (thanks to sweet chilli sauce). Sweet chilli and the juiciness of the tomatoes.. yumz. Am addicted to it. Bought extra loaf of bread and tomatoes for next couple of days whilst I am still in the "addicted" stage.

But tomato and chilli, in my opinion, goes quite well together! Got one time, I add both tomato sauce and some chilly stuff into my fried rice, turns out damn nice also!

Anyway, I decided to personalise all the sandwich in accordance to my friend's taste:

There are 4 types :
1) Egg + tomato + spinach + sweet chilli sauce (Malay friend who likes saucy stuff)
2) Egg + tomato + spinach + salt and pepper (for the pesco- vegetarian fella)
3) Egg + tomato + spinach (tastelesss for the Hongkies)
3) Egg cheese omelette + spinach (another tasteless sandwich, forced my friend to eat the spinach cause its good for health! haha)

Basically I forced some veggies into people. hehe, so much for me being all understanding! Like one who does not eat tomatoes, I put some tomatoes in, telling them its super good for health, and one who does not eat any veggies at all, I tell them "Spinach has no taste one,I swear! and its good for health!" (which is true, it tasted nothing in the sandwich, or maybe cause the sweet chilli sauce is too overpowering)

Usually people cut half across to make nice triangle shape, but I cut it vertically, if not my fried eggs inside will drop out :

Put cling wrap over the dish, and dash like a bullet for my 11am train. Almost missed it by 5minutes.

So in the train, nothing to do, camwhore :

Took so many only one look-able . FML !!! and F that zit on my face ! Been sitting there for WAYYY too LONG!

When I reached Geelong, met up with friends, walk to Eastern Beach for our picnic, got blown off by the Geelong beach views.

And got Ferris Wheel already also !!!

Seriously, is it because I know that I am leaving this place for good, that I feel this place has turned sooo much more beautiful, or has it always been like that?

But I know Geelong City just had this amazing big "makeover" since the cycling week. Our bus stops all look better, got more touristy attraction like the Ferris Wheel...everything is just more convenient ! Even shopping malls are going through some major renovation, to remodel I think !!

Why when I want to leave liao only everything gets improved! Even my university also, going through a big change. All new computer screens are like what, AT LEAST 4-5 TIMES THE SIZE OF MY HEAD ( I don't have a small head) !!! Damn huge. Bigger than any computer screens I ever used in my life !

So after all the beach walking, seaside strolling, scenery picture taking, we settle down to have our picnic :

Yumz. All of them are great cooks.

Anyway just feel that I am going to miss them loads.

All of us are each others new friends when we first arrived Geelong.  All of us...just as new to this place, learning about this new city together, staying under one "temporary" roof.

wow, just dug out my old pictures :

THIS WAS THREE YEARS AGO IN OUR TEMPORARY ACCOMMODATION ! =]

We stayed together for about two weeks, moved out , and still kept in touch!

Gosh all the memories!

It has been 3 years, and we're still good friends!
