The things people can learn from Youtube.

Sorry I think I've turned into a girly girl !! I am currently sooo into make ups, hair and face products. ~.~

But before the guys go "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BOOOOOOORING"

READ THIS :

"I'm tired of all this nonsense about beauty being only skin-deep. What do you want? An adorable pancreas?" -- Jean Kerr, American author and playwright

That is why we must consistently learn how to groom ourselves better to look good OUTSIDE.

Back to the topic.

I've just learnt something that saved me AUD 30 (approximately RM85-90) !! Saved me from clicking "Buy It Now" from eBay, too!

I wanted to buy Urban Decay Primer Potion :

It is a kind of liquid cream you apply on your eyelids before you apply eyeshadow, to make your eyeshadow colours stand out and last longer. I was so super tempted, plus the bottle is purple and is damn cute lo!

So, I was randomly Youtube-ing beauty tutorials online, and came across "Homemade Eyeshadow Primer" and clicked on it. There were 203240238 other videos that were teaching the same thing, just different materials.

I was really amazed and wanted to try it out because if it works, I can save myself AUD30 , and also find some good use for other make up stuff and face products that I chucked at the back of my cupboard!!

~.~

Here goes my experiment at 5am in the morning :

Things you need ( I chose the easiest 'recipe' ) :

1) Any random moisturiser, thick texture kind (Clean&Clear and Cetaphil - mixed them both because Clean&Clear is too watery and I never like that moisturiser, and my Cetaphil is thick textured and expired ) I've watched enough videos to have concluded the first point.

2) Any random liquid foundation/concealer ( I used my super dark foundation tone that doesn't match my fair skin! The tagline of 'TRUE MATCH' L'oreal Foundation was damn misleading. It was printed on the bottle 'matches perfectly the skin texture and tone'... well, I got fooled, made mom bought it, and when I used, it made me look 5 skin tones darker. I read the label behind and there goes the skin tone for the foundation, and it's damn dark.) So read everything on a product thoroughly before impulsively buying them!

3) A container (in my case, I used contact lens case - I think my idea is better though, because if you buy the cheap plastic container outside, they might leak. Contact lens case won't leak, and if yours leak, it must be broken! Plus you can make two types of primer, glitter or non glitter)

4) A toothpick/small tiny stick to mix everything ( I used Eddie's wand thingy from his LG touchscreen handphone, HAHAHA- shhh he doesn't know)

5) Glitter dust (optional)

Instructions :
Mix Foundation 1/3 , Moisturiser 2/3 (They suggested half and half but my foundation is dam dark, hence 1/3) in the container with a toothpick, and finally add Glitter dust.

The result :

The top part (with the freshly made homemade primer) and bottom part (nothing applied) of my sexy thighs are eyeshadows from:

Not very pigmented eyeshadows from Aery Jo ! My mom's one, I took it from her because I need silver colour eyeshadow and this make up palette's brush is not bad. My mom never make up also one! Don't know why she bought it... got cheated into buying it by a relative

Anyway, see the difference? So far, the eyeshadow does look darker , but not sure if it last.

I got excited and made quite a lot of the handmade primer. Will try it one day to see if it will prolong the make up on our eyes.

Aih
I am sick now. Down with flu, cough, flaming eyeballs, hot head.$..so much for bragging the last 3 weeks that I am super healthy. Now that Eddie is healed from cough and flu, I suddenly got it. ZZZ
