"Oh My God"

Few days ago, whilst walking down from Corner of Collins and Swanston Street down towards Melbourne Central, I shouted :

"OH MY GOD"

and was about to continue with my sentence, some cranky old man scolded me LOUDLY on the streets :

"Don't use God's name in vain, you stupid girl !"

Come on, that time I was lost with my friend, Russell, and when I see a familiar road, I got excited, and it naturally came out.

And I don't think saying "Oh My God" is using God's name in vain.

At times when humans are feeling either extremely excited, angry, thankful , scared...etc only did they/we/I use the term 'God' like this.

Isn't this kind of like remembering God, because we remember God at times where we feel extreme emotions? I know everytime when I say OHMYGOD, my eyes opened so big like as if they were about to pop.

Yeah I know some people are overusing it in every sentence they made, like

'ohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygod'

All in one breath. That's why they are called bimbos, dammit.

haihz and religions in general, serve to give humans hope, when we pray, and make us a better person.

PLUS we all pray different Gods, what made him so sure that my God think I am using the term "God" in vain? Maybe my God like it?

zzzzZZZzzz

As long as we're all good people, bringing kindness to the world, that's what any God cares the most.
