AT MELBOURNE.

Going to report what I've done/what happened/whatever I feel to the entire world.

The whole Air Asia flight was damn scary. Turbulence the first hour...there's this one time it was quite bad that I hugged/grabbed my arm rest and panicked. My cousin and I at one point almost thought we couldn't make it to Melbourne...ALIVE! Throughout the flight also got loads of turbulence.

Some more damn boring! The plane do not have any form of entertainment! You know that screen that's stuck to the passenger's seat... n/a (not available). Super boring.

  1. The whole plane was dark, can't talk to anyone except my cousin (night flight, other people had to sleep also)
  2. Screaming babies and kids,
  3. Not a smooth ride (can't read) ,
  4. Didn't order any food (cousin's fault),
  5. Starved yet too stingy to pay RM6 for instant noodle (600% overpriced -.-) ,
  6. Didn't make any new friends
  7. Seat super small
Okayla, enough of complaining.

Touched down Melbourne at 12.30pm local time. Australia's checkpoint like damn lenient nowadays. They just ask me if I brought any form of food /plant..I said no, and off I go. Without the need to put my bag under the x-ray.

Reach home around almost 2pm. Had lunch, and went back to sleep immediately.

Met up with a new old friend. Just met him after one year of purely communicating over the computer.

It's quite funny how you meet new people sometimes. I chatted with this person 1year ago on my Air Asia flight back to Melbourne in 2009. You know, the screen on the passenger's seat for Air Asia...the chatting function.

Yeah, chatted almost the whole 8 hours, and after that exchanged Facebook, and we kept in touch also since then.

Then year end, he got himself an internship at RMIT, which is right opposite Eddie's place, and since we're going to be away for summer..I rented Eddie's place to him. I trust people so easily. hehe.

Then um, he got close to Eddie's brother who didn't go back home, and got to know the people I know in Melbourne. And yah, met him for the first time yesterday.

Quite weird. I am taller than he imagined. He said my voice doesn't suit my face. HUH??? and I am more Chinese than he expected FML!!! But he's also bigger than I thought! But still small size.

Verbal conversation was weird. Took sometime before I got used to talking to him face to face, than through the face of the computer , staring at each other's display picture.

Too much words.

We had Chinese for dinner. Yummy!!! My favourite..dumplings and la mien kinda noodles~

boiled dumplings, and Peking noodle with meat sauce.

Pan fried dumplings. Look special right!

And of course Shanghai Pork Dumpling (xiao long bao) - forgot to take a picture. But super yummy.

Free meal from my new friend!

I love the dumplings in Australia. They are cheap and filling plus almost everywhere! Not very popular in Malaysia.

Then at night went clubbing at this poshy place. Superrrr last minute plan and tiring, although I slept quite a bit throughout the day. Had to wear dresses for girls, leather shoes and ties for men. Went through a lot of hassle, i.e. went back to change and come back out...and the friend who hosted this gathering, took off his clothes to want to lend to Eddie, so that he could come in because checkered clothes are not allowed. Eddie's brother cannot enter because he didn't wear leather shoes.

Slept at 6+ am. Woke up lunch time, went for Japanese fine dining at Shoya. Found out I am not a sashimi person and can never force myself to be one. Wasted a whole lot of sashimi :( Expensive leh!

After eating, sleep again.

Bid my friend goodbye when he left at 6pm.

At night had dinner at Oporto! Yum. Love their nuggets.

and watched Valentine's Day (AUD18.50, OUCH)

Movie-> sleep-> woke up at 9+am, got an sms from dad, calling me to stay home because a tsunami might hit Australia-> check CNN -> Melbourne has no threat-> Thank New Zealand, Tasmania and Sydney.

da end.

why... do you have to pay the meals in the plane? it's not fair!!!!

my auntie told me she got some free goods because of her seat without any entertainment!!

i rmb i gotta wait the customs for ages. i nearly couldnt catch the coach back to Geelong! i hate the customs here as i spend less than 1min to pass through customs in HK!
