The first thing I did when I reach city was run towards ChinaBar for their Hainanese Chicken Rice. I swear I'm going to learn how to cook you! Though there is like this ChinaBar near Burwood, but I feel more "at home" with the Melbourne City branch (my friend kena food poisoning from the Burwood/Boxhill ChinaBar).
Planned to bake some stuffs for this Sunday, friend's 21st birthday (tea) party. Loads of baking involved, and I'm one of the volunteer bakers. hehe. Comments are welcome! I'm new to cake-making, and it is addictive! So I got to practice in order not to embarass myself.
Read up on a recipe by Donna Hay and was later joined by my cousin (who has been haunting me for the past few days) to make a mess in the kitchen. It's true, she dirtied my dearest.. the electric mixer!
The pattern of the cheese mixture pretty right?!
3 hours later (I think)..
Done! but it needs to be refrigerated for 12 hours. The thing I hate about cheesecakes is the waiting part, have to wait for it to be done baking, wait for it to cool down before putting it into the fridge to wait for another 12 hours before being able to FINALLY eat it.
but guess it's worth the wait la, I hope. Its like playing the lottery. If its good, you hit the jackpot, vice versa.
Anyway.
There's two pictures below, the first one being blur and second one crystal clear.
I like the blurry one. It's more mysterious and made me feel like I live in the 50s' . Rather than the clear straightforward one that shows an unkempt cottage pathway almost immediately.
This is the route I have to take to get out of my house in Burwood. Yeap, it is that rundown. The pathway is not well managed. Just bricks all thrown in together, not even lined up nicely, to form a path.
But the point is, I've never walked the whole rocky pathway...I always hop from the last step to the grassy areas to the road. Resembles my nature of wanting problem-less and carefree life minus hard work/risks.
People who walk the "hard way" and finally reach the goal (the road) would probably feel the triumph that I will never feel.
Sorry for the misunderstandings, you ought to be angry instead... but nice seeing you again. Just hope you'd smile more.
