Celebrated in a few special places :D
went ALLLLL the way to GLEN WAVERLY (half an hour train ride, its one of the suburbs of Melbourne) to :
super famous for their dumplings !!!! and CHEAP price.
a plate of 15 fried pork dumplings, only AUD7.80 !Unlike Menya in Melbourne Central, Melbourne City, the shop sell like 6 pieces of dumplings, not nice somemore, at AUD5.80 ( I think. Last time was AUD5, but I remembered they raised up their price.)
15 Boiled (or more like steam but the menu says boiled) PORK DUMPLING (my ex favourite, you'll know why in a jiffy), only AUD7 , cheaper than fried ones.We ordered a new dish.
SIU LONG BAO (Shanghai dumpling)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AUD6.80. DAMMMMMNNNN YUMMY, my new favourite dumpling, best one I've ever had, but it's the second time I'm eating this dish. The first time was in some lousy dumpling shop in Melbourne City, the soup already dried. Siu Long Bao are dumplings with the meat and a mouthful of soup inside the Bao.
cute right my nibble on the Bao. hahaha.below my nibbled Bao is vinegar. Dumplings are never complete without them.
then went home, and didn't have dinner, cause we're all so stuffed with the whole lot of dumplings we ate. At least 10+dumpling per person. Overall, it cost AUD21 only for 3 person and with full stomach. Met up with Edith, my friend from Hong Kong at Glen Waverly. Lovely day!
The next day...to replace our lovely dinner date, we went to TOMODACHI, in Melbourne Central. Ate alot of wierd nice sushis but FORGOT TO TAKE PICTURE OF THEM! :'(
we ate 2 plate of inaris, 1 plate of raw sashimi baby octopus, 1 plate of raw salmon, 1plate of seaweed (not the normal ones we eat, and it's not available in Malaysia!), 1 plate of smoke salmon with some raw fish and prawn salad, and 1 plate of soft shell crab with strawberries! LOVELY COMBINITION!
yeah, end the whole 7 plates of sushi with a desert.
