Unlike Malaysian food such as famous Nasi Lemak. Japanese with their famous Sushi. Singapore with Singapore Fried Bi Hun *lol* I never come across any AUSTRALIAN restaurant before. Have you?
Infact, I think Australia is more multicultural than Malaysia! Here got more types of food, people, community from all different kind of countries. Example, Malaysia got Malays, Indians, Chinese but all Malaysians....foreigners = alot Bangladeshi (alot! that's why crime rates go up) , some Japanese,and some whites.
In Australia there's loads of white people from all around the world such as America, UK, Australians themselves, then got alot of Chinese from China, Malaysia, Indonesia, then alot of Indian lookalike people from India, Maldives, Turkey....alot alot, and not all are Australians, yet their amount can be equivalent to Australians, in cities especially.
WHY I started off like that? Cause I realise everytime I want to blog bout Australian food, but I can't cause I ate Italian, Japanese, Chinese, Malay, Thai, Korean...etc etc.
Today ate Indonesian Food at Esteller! Near Melbourne Central :D Famous for their Nasi Uduk.
My bf's Nasi Uduk (Uduk Rice). He always like to put loads of "kicap manis" . It's a black saltish sweetish kinda sauce. Undeniably yummy with Nasi Uduk! Then the soup also damn nice, but I think high cholesterol cause got egg inside, and the egg yolk like melted abit and the soup's yellow in colour.I ordered :
Keow Teow Kambing Goreng (fried keow teow with mince lamb meat)! I ordered it cause the keow teow is at least twice the width of a normal keow teow back home in Malaysia and even Singapore (;
SEE! so thick ler.I will never order same thing as my bf unless we both really really like that something and both can never have enough nor live without it (so far nothing). Cause we order different thing can expand our taste buds and taste more stuffs ^^.
Then at night ate in Dessert House. Few blocks from Esteller only. Something like KimGary back home.. HongKong-based restaurant. But, basically, it's Chinese food.
Tofu + fish fillet in some special sauce. Bf's friend's dish.
Sweet and sour pork with rice.I didn't taste the fish meal. My bf's pork dish okay only. BUT! I LOVE my dish.
Eggplant/ brinjal/ aborigines with mince chicken in "spicy" sauce. They say spicy, but a Chilly Queen like me..NAH. MAYBE as spicy as tomato sauce la. :)My rice is below the starchy mince meat and brinjal!
I think I'm seriously going to put on weight or I did already and didn't notice. HAIH.
Bless me with high metabolism rate please ! :'(
